Bishop R.W. Harris Jr., affectionately known as "God’s favorite son," began his gospel ministry at the remarkable age of twelve. That early calling ignited a lifelong evangelistic mission that has taken him across the city, the nation, and the world—carrying a transformative message of hope, restoration, and deliverance.
Beyond the pulpit, Bishop Harris is a dedicated builder of people and communities. As a father of six, a grandfather of fifteen, and a spiritual father to many, his influence spans generations. His unique perspective is deepened by his former career as a juvenile drug counselor, where he provided empathy and real-world guidance to those facing society’s toughest challenges.
In recognition of his leadership and service to the Body of Christ, Bishop Harris has been awarded two honorary Doctorate degrees. Yet, despite these honors, he remains a humble servant at heart. Today, he continues to proclaim the Gospel with the same fire that ignited decades ago—a living testament to God’s grace and faithfulness.
